another year has come and gone. have yet to catch on the new year high and i don't think i will tonight or anytime soon... but i'm going to do this anyway because if there's a time to reflect it's new year's day

2013 has been a year of transitions for me. transiting from the person i was for a short yet extremely significant period of my life, to this new and, hopefully, improved verson of the person i used to be a few years back. not necessarily more optimistic but hopefully self-motivated and self-sufficient; traits i find crucial in this metamorphosizing process. the year has been a continuation of pushing myself to my limits and constantly focusing on not giving in to my weaknesses or repeating past mistakes. i also believe that i have matured in one aspect or another; my perception of the world and my own life, learning to understand the people around me without passing judgements, and my thinking when it comes to making serious and permanent decisions for myself, and for the future. not going to talk about highlights of the year because that would be hell of a long list lol refer to significant posts.

here's to a brand new year; a brand new life, to be lived to its fullest. behold the future, and all that awaits in life
